Volve Hotel Bangkok review

Volve Hotel Bangkok is a neighbourhood-led alternative to a large tower hotel. The official site describes 28 rooms and suites on Sukhumvit 53, with Thong Lo BTS nearby. Design and a smaller scale are the reasons to consider it, not an assumption that boutique means the same facilities as a full-service resort.

Thonglor as your daily base

Volve’s official description places the hotel on a residential street close to Thong Lo station.

This makes it worth considering for travellers who want to spend time around Thonglor’s dining scene while keeping a rail connection for other days. Plan the old town as a separate outing; a good neighbourhood base does not remove the cross-city journey.

The category changes the stay

Published categories range from a 22-square-metre Deluxe to a 35-square-metre Studio Suite. The Two Bedroom Suite is listed at 48 square metres, with two bathrooms and a living area.

Those layouts solve different travel problems. A couple who spends every day outside may value the smaller category; companions sharing a stay may need the extra separation.

Small scale, practical questions

The official amenities include a restaurant, coffee shop, lift and luggage storage. Ask about breakfast timing if you plan early departures, and verify the desk and room layout for a working trip.

For a group or family, make the booked beds and occupancy explicit. Shared space in a suite is useful only when the sleeping arrangement fits everyone.

Breakfast: read the selected rate

For a neighbourhood-led stay, decide whether breakfast at the hotel or a flexible morning outside suits the trip.

Confirm serving times for early departures and check the exact rate for included meals. A restaurant or coffee shop on the amenities list does not establish what your reservation buys.

Alexandra’s take

I would shortlist Volve for travellers who choose a neighbourhood as much as a room. The small scale and published suite layouts are its distinction. I would compare a different hotel if a large pool complex were the centre of the holiday.
