Start with arrival, not the attraction list
Before choosing the first evening’s plans, work out the terminal-to-hotel journey and where the luggage will go. Check current operator information, the relevant station exit and the final segment to the entrance.
Keep a meal near the hotel as the fallback plan. A useful arrival day can be deliberately modest.
Give the old centre its own outing
I would group time around Masjid Jamek and Dataran Merdeka into one old-centre outing rather than repeatedly returning between unrelated activities.
Decide which places you want to enter and verify their access arrangements. The route is an editorial suggestion, not a promise about opening hours or a guided-tour schedule.
Separate a skyline visit from a skyline room
A visit to the Petronas Towers area and a tower-view hotel room are different decisions.
Plan the outing first, including any tickets or reservations you need to verify, then decide how much a room outlook matters. Do not infer the view from a neighbourhood label or a rooftop photograph.
Leave an evening for food and the neighbourhood
Tourism Malaysia describes Bukit Bintang as a shopping and entertainment district.
I would give that part of the visit a relaxed evening rather than squeezing it between two distant commitments. The best hotel base depends on how often you expect to return, not whether a district appears on every sightseeing list.
Allow a slower afternoon
For several nights, leave room for laundry, a rest or pool time when the selected hotel offers it.
For a short stop, prioritise the activities that matter most rather than trying to reproduce a longer itinerary. Check the actual facilities on the individual hotel review before making them part of a day plan.
Use the day plan to choose the hotel
The separate first-visit accommodation article compares Bukit Bintang, KL Sentral and Masjid Jamek, with links to four individual hotel reviews.
Use it once you know your arrival needs and evening plans. Then compare the same room, guests and terms on Expedia and Trip.com.
